Finish with conditioner as needed. For a quality shampoo, rinsing is the key. End with a rinse of cool to icy cold water for optimum results. Hot (or warm) water causes hair scales to relax and open up like flower petals. Scale separation aids in the process of the ingredients in a product being absorbed into the core of the hair shaft. Cold (or cool) water during the final rinse causes the cuticle scales to tighten and close down.
